I found your site while searching the origin of surnames Cefaly or ? Cefali. Most of the “Raynor Clan” would like to go back beyond Raynor. It’s an odd “Italian” name.

Yes – as you know, Joseph Raynor’s real name has been a challenge. I’m looking in QLD state archives, but haven’t turned up any thing yet – but I won’t give up!
I found your blog a moment ago while looking into the 1946 floods. It’s fantastic to see a site dedicated to Railway Estate and South Townsville history and memories, well done!
